Kethania Griffiths is the Executive Director of Youth Crime Watch of Jamaica a youth led; youth targeted NGO focused on youth empowerment and sustainable community development. She is also a member of the Jamaica Professional Youth Workers Association (JPYWA), which advocates, inter alia, the professionalisation of youth work in Jamaica. Kethania has been working with the organisation since 2016 and represents JPYWA at the Commonwealth Alliance of Youth Workers Association Steering Committee meeting.
Kethania is also a Chevening scholar and was recently awarded a MA in Social Entrepreneurship from Goldsmiths, University of London. As a social enterprise practitioner with over five years’ experience in social enterprise research and providing technical support to social enterprises across Jamaica through teaching and enterprise development assistance, she has become an anchor in the development and growth of social enterprise in her country. With her background and passion for youth and social enterprise development, she is creating strategic linkages between the two in order to sustain youth operations using social enterprise as a tool. She has thus, been working with JPYWA in developing its social enterprise as a sustainable pathway to the development of youth work in Jamaica.
Outside of her professional work, Kethania enjoys traveling as it gives her an opportunity to experience different cultures, perspectives and, most of all, to meet new people.
