Defining Youth Work - Global Definitions 2022!

As we all know, youth work can be hard to describe; it encapsulates many different roles, practices and demographics. This is why each year we develop and update our Global Definitions of Youth Work document, so we can see how our sector is growing and developing across the world.

The work we do at CAYWA whole-heartedly supports youth workers in their fight to be recognised within their countries and communities. Our 'Global Definitions' document is an evolving reminder of the impact youth work has on the lives of young people, and a celebration of the triumphs of the sector, our members, and the CAYWA family.
